Alere Toxicology is growing, and we need your leadership and expertise to help us grow. Alere is looking for motivated, engaged people to help us with our industry leading Toxicology Business. We are currently seeking a Method Development Technician to be based in either our Gretna, LA, Richmond, VA or Austin, TX location.
Role and Responsibilities
Developing and/or optimizing extraction methods and methods of detection.
Updating/revising policies and procedures.
Training of staff on new methods.
Adherence to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum requirements are:
MS degree in Chemistry, Forensic Toxicology or equivalent related field
Minimum skills required are:
Advanced ability to understand analytical techniques and procedures
Advanced ability to understand laboratory instrumentation
Advanced ability to understand certification requirements for SAMHSA, Cap-FUDT, and other relevant regulatory bodies
Advanced ability to understand the function of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other laboratory computer systems
