LabCorp's Occupational Testing Services division in RTP (Durham), NC is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to join their team!
This position will oversee the mass spectrometry sample preparation departments of its SAMHSA-certified drug testing laboratory.
This position will have 2nd shift hours from 3:00 PM -- 11:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
The functions of the Laboratory Supervisor position will include, but will not be limited to the following:
-Oversight of approximately 14 laboratory technologists, including training, scheduling, performance evaluation and management.
-Managing daily specimen volumes to ensure accurate and timely processing of samples and compliance with HHS and CLIA regulations. Includes prioritization and remediation of repeat testing, process troubleshooting, and work assignment.
-Executing on the laboratory's QA/QC plan.
-Contributing to process engineering and workflow improvements.
-Maintaining department supply inventory.
-Regular review of instruments, calibration, reagents and maintain associated logs.

-Requires a B.S. or B.A. degree in Chemistry, Medical Technology or relatable life science to include 16 credit hours of Chemistry, 16 credit hours of Biology and 3 credit hours of Math.
-Minimum 6 years of clinical laboratory experience at the technologist level or above (analytical toxicology is preferred).
-Demonstrated progression in leadership and/or areas of responsibility (laboratory environment is preferred).
-Demonstrated strong leadership skills in the areas of developing, training and motivating staff, as well as driving compliance with standard operating procedures and quality control measures.
-Must meet CLIA requirements.
