Responsibilities:

Developing protocols and procedures for the NLFSC Toxicology Section;
Purchasing and setting up instrumentation and equipment for new Forensic Toxicology Lab;
Training new staff in procedures and protocols
Supervision of Forensic Toxicology operation
There will be opportunities for adjunct positions with LSU Medical School in Shreveport, for teaching and research.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in natural science (e.g. biology, chemistry,toxicology, biochemistry) from an accredited institution
Successful completion of general and organic chemistry with associated laboratory classes (minimum 16 hours); 16 hours of additional upper level chemistry, biochemistry or toxicology coursework; a course in statistics
Five years full time laboratory experience as a forensic toxicologist
