A candidate for the position will be required to have a Ph.D. in an area related to Forensic Science, teaching experience, and a minimum of five-years experience as a forensic science practitioner or forensic science academic; and satisfy the FEPAC standard for a graduate program director. www.fepac-edu.org/sites/default/files/FEPAC%20Standards%2002192015_1.pdf Responsibilities will include teaching courses in one or more forensic science disciplines, grant writing and management, mentoring student research, facilitating research conferences, and professional service. Program Director administrative responsibilities include management of budgets and day to day operations, participation in recruiting and mentoring/advising students, and contributing to fund raising activities. The successful candidate will have a record of networking capabilities in the forensic science community; as well as knowledge of and involvement in the process of program accreditation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an ability to work within a non-traditional program/department structure to achieve student research mentoring and goals; demonstrate the ability to use independent judgment in making decisions; and show evidence of support of the University's mission. Depending on when the position is filled, the person hired will serve as Co-Director until June 30, 2018 when they will assume full responsibilities as Director.
